In her blog, Xiqiao describes herself as a web designer living in Shanghai and the site manager of Designlol.net with a portrait of her hard and unsmiling eyes. Her name can also be found at the bottom of Songshuhui.net site, a fast growing website which she volunteered to design. Also readers of Chinese version of Financial Times will not find her unfamiliar. Xiqiao, a 28-year-old girl has attracted great attention in web design field. In her eyes, she is living a “luxury” life, not in terms of money but of freedom, which is not affordable by most people of our generation.
