Project: FAKE NATOO targets at consumers whose ages are from 28 to 35. It has a light, curious and fun style. The sense of humor even shows in the brand name. NA comes from the founder’s name, and TOO represents all kinds of possibilities. It’s only called FAKE NATOO because NATOO was already registered. Zhang’s workshop is in Shanghai now.
Background: The family history of Zhang Na is heavy and twisted. As descendants of the Manchurian royal family, her grandfather and grandmother were suffered during the country’s unstable time. Zhang herself was born and raised in Shaanxi, where her father and mother was sent to during the Cultural Revolution. Ups and downs of her family teaches Zhang not to take chance, but to focus. When everybody thought that Zhang Na would learn oil painting in college, She chose fashion design. When most people stayed overseas, she returned to China without hesitation. When her employer wanted to make path for her into management, she left and created her own fashion brand, FAKE NATOO.
